Location: UK - Loughborough - Bishop Meadow Road

Our Loughborough site:

The Loughborough facility is the flagship for the European Supply Chain covering 15,000 m², servicing a network of customers worldwide with a vast range of products of which 30,000 are stocked lines within the DC. Key metrics to be delivered are quality and service levels to our customers, whilst maintaining an efficient and productive Operation.

How will you make an impact?


The Team Leader will be responsible for leading and motivating their team; demonstrating Role Model Leadership; whilst working in conjunction with other teams and departments around the business to ensure customer experience is delivered.

What will you do?

  • Lead and develop your teams, through daily management and routine reviews. Creating development plans and succession planning.
  • Applying lean principles and tools to achieve and exceed objectives set in line with the business goals.
  • Manage teams within the designated area to achieve all business targets and seek out opportunities to improve performance.
  • Recognising the contribution of others, giving praise and reward in line with company policies and procedures.
  • Maintain communication with your team through daily management board meetings, engaging with them to ensure awareness of business activities and to understand the challenges that arise.
  • Interaction with your peers and Management team as required to ensure good working relations, seeking help and support when required. Integration with other departments around the business to understand, maintain and improve the supply chain to our customers.
  • Maintain and support the development of working procedures, processes and safe working practices. Ensure all employees are conducting themselves in a safe and appropriate manner, addressing any issues as they arise.
  • Report and take action on any unsafe practice, investigate and making improvements as determined. Continually review standard work processes, ensuring adherence to process; identifying any changes/improvements required are documented and trained out to all employees to maintain a set standard.
  • Flexibility within the team is key to the success of the operation, ability to adapt to varying priorities throughout the day and mobility of resources to address work streams is critical. Maintaining confidentiality at all times.
  • Other Responsibilities may include but not limited to:
  • Ensure a safe working environment is maintained in accordance with Health and Safety Regulations, including the safe handling and storage of chemicals.
  • Support and maintain the departmental and Company Quality and Environmental standards. Ensure that any training records are maintained and completed where required for the team.
  • Ensure a high standard of customer service for internal and external customers.
  • Effectively perform your duties whilst acting at all times in accordance with the Dignity at Work Policy, Code of Business Conduct and Ethics and our values of Integrity, Intensity, Innovation and Involvement.
  • Embrace and participate in Lean initiatives through the Practical Process Improvement system.

Minimum Requirements/Qualifications:

  • NVQ Level 1/2 (Warehousing) or equivalent experience.
  • Experience of supervising/overseeing the work of others.
  • Knowledge of Chemical storage and packing regulations would be an advantage.
  • Basic level competency with Microsoft Excel, Word and Outlook.
  • Fork Lift Truck Licence is preferred but not essential.
  • Knowledge and experience of warehouse management systems.
